SHIFT 7:00am - 4:30pm M-F
Quality Assurance Technician
- Maintain laboratory and quality records for all products that are tested.
- Record all test results in an accurate and timely manner.
- Ensure customers receive COA’s for orders.
- Collects and tests incoming and outgoing raw material and product samples in a timely manner to promote efficient production operations.
- Responsible for coordinating with Operations and customers to resolve food safety and/or quality problems and to ensure compliance with FDA, SQF and other relevant authorities and standards.
- Responsible for reporting food safety and quality issues to Operations leadership on site.
- Maintains knowledge of customer specifications and requirements and communicates this information to other employees.
- Responsible for product labelling compliance and for keeping product specifications current.
- Ensures that all products shipped meet required customer specifications or and other requirements.
- Ensures that incoming raw materials, chemicals, and processing aids are evaluated and meet food safety requirements.
- Have an understanding of the SQF Food Safety Code and of the facility HACCP plan.
- Must be on call for emergencies and available to handle any situation that arises concerning the plant or company assets.
- Excellent communication skills demonstrated skill in judgement and sound decision making required.
- Performs other duties as directed by the Quality and/or Operations leadership.

Be able to climb
Education:
Associate's degree in a science discipline
2 years’ experience in a food manufacturing environment.
