We are currently seeking a Tissue Regulatory Compliance Coordinator to help fulfill your mission.
About the Role
The Tissue Regulatory Compliance Coordinator is responsible for reviewing, maintaining, and reporting accurate procurement data to support optimal tissue donation outcomes, and to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for tissue services data. This position will perform quality assurance reviews and conduct the reporting of donation related outcomes to the appropriate tissue processors, external agencies and partners, as well as any regulatory and accrediting bodies. Responsibilities include:
- Performs quality assurance reviews of donor charts to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Prepares and/or completes organization, department and/or processor reports to provide timely and accurate information.
- Inputs and maintains required data entry into internal and/or external database systems to provide timely and accurate information to internal departments, regulatory bodies and/or Indiana Donor Network Leadership team.
Shift Information
This is a Monday through Friday position, working normal business hours at our headquarters near 38th and Guion Road in Indianapolis.
Who We’re Looking For
A bachelor’s degree in applied science or related field is preferred; or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge is required. Previous medical records, EMR, QA, and clinical data coordination experience is preferred. Desired knowledge, skills and abilities include:
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and medications that relate to organ/tissue
donation.
- Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office, online databases and data entry, query, and reporting.
- Demonstrates organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Skill in maintaining composure and de-escalating emotionally charged situations.
- Skill in determining alternatives that would correct a situation to provide effective service to donor partners.
- Skill in preparing written materials such as correspondence and reports to meet purpose and audience.
- Skill of receiving a message, understanding the intended message and giving feedback to ensure expectations are met.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive and productive working relationships with tissue processors, coroners, funeral homes, regulatory agencies, etc.
- Ability to work cooperatively within a group to make the work of the group successful and effective.
- Ability to maintain open, clear, timely, and expected channels of communication; present ideas clearly and persuasively; and responds well to questions.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of donor related records.
- Ability to exercise independent decision-making and to work independently.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and set priorities.
