Description:
Responsible for providing professional support and direct supervision of clinic team members. Assists physicians and staff in coordinating high quality patient care.

Primary Job Responsibilities/Tasks:
1. Oversee daily clinical operations and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.

2. Provide supervision, guidance, and support to clinic staff.

3. Maintain timecard requests and approvals.

4. Approve time off requests and manage daily staffing assignments for designated clinical locations.

5. Participates in multidisciplinary meetings to improve patient care processes and outcomes. Tracks quality assurance data.

6. Participate in recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of new clinic staff. Provide feedback and support the professional growth of clinic team.

7. Interact with patients’, physicians and other staff within the clinic and at outside facilities providing accurate, timely and responsive information.

8. Coordinate processes and timing as required to meet physician and facility requirements.

9. Support clinical staffing needs as needed to ensure patient care requirements are met.

10. Oversee inventory management, including ordering and maintaining medical supplies, equipment, and pharmaceuticals.

11. Work with leadership team to manage operational expenses.

12. Collaborate with healthcare providers and administrative staff to develop and implement clinical protocols, procedures, and guidelines.

13. Maintains patient confidentiality.

14. Staff and facilitate clinics as needed.

Requirements:
Education: Bachelors in nursing or a healthcare-related field required, Masters preferred.

Experience: Minimum of two-year clinic experience required.

Other Requirements: Current Indiana licensed in healthcare-related field. Requires basic life

support certification through the AHA.

Performance Requirements:
Knowledge:
1. Knowledge of professional regulations for clinical team members with direct supervisions to include Medical Assistants, Certified Surgical Technicians, License Practical Nurses, Athletic Trainers, and Registered Nurses.

2. Knowledge of chart/medical record documentation requirements and federal/state laws related to release of health care information.

3. Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish/maintain a safe work environment.

Skills:
1. Skill in time management, problem solving, multitasking, prioritizing, and medical care

coordination.

2. Skill in initiating appropriate crisis interventions and emergency response.

3. Excellence in customer service and service recovery.

4. Experience with performance evaluation and feedback processes.

5. Skill in provider staff coaching, feedback, and development of performance improvement plans.

Abilities:
1. Ability to engage patients and families in the development and implementation of a care plan.

2. Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems and other healthcare management software.

3. Ability to calculate and administer drug dosages and injections and measure results.

4. Ability to maintain quality control standards.

5. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.

6. Ability to communicate clearly.

Equipment Operated: Standard equipment and supplies including thermometer and syringes. May involve use of assistive devices such as walkers, wheelchairs, ventilators, pulse oximetry units, and oxygen tanks. Will require use of computer.

Work Environment: Varied activities including standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting. Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient’s manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 100 pounds. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours.

Requires travel to outreach clinic locations to support operations across the organization.

Mental/Physical Requirements: Combination of office and exam settings. Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medicinal preparations and other conditions common to a clinic environment.
