Airport Veterinary Clinic is seeking a compassionate and reliable Veterinary Assistant to join our growing team! This is a full-time role with weekend coverage required. While prior veterinary experience is highly preferred, we are open to training candidates with relevant and transferable skills.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide assistance to Veterinary Technicians and Veterinarians in outpatient procedures such as physical exams, vaccines, and blood draws.

Perform gentle animal handling and restraint during procedures.

Prepare and clean patient areas, including exam rooms, treatment areas, and surgery spaces, ensuring cleanliness and readiness throughout the day.

Anticipate team needs to ensure preparedness, promoting efficiency in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Ideal Candidate:

Passionate about animal care, with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Experience in assisting with patient care in a veterinary setting preferred, but not required.
Schedule & Compensation:

Full-time position with a rotating 5/8 schedule and availability needed Monday-Saturday.

Compensation: $16-$22/hour, for each hour worked* based on experience and skillset.

Bonus: $500 for candidates with 3 years of consecutive, current veterinary assistant experience.

Minimum qualifications and skillset:

3 years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting

Proficiency in the following skills

Assisting in rooms and surgery

Radiology set up and technique
-
Venipuncture/SQ/IM Injections

Proper lab sample and processing

Inpatient care
