Location: Odon, Indiana; Bloomington, Indiana; Indianapolis, Indiana
Job description and what you'll do: ARI is growing and we're looking for an IT Support Specialist to support our IT Operations. This person will report to the System Administrator and provide technical assistance and support to end users for hardware, software, and system issues. ARI is looking for someone who takes initiative, helps where needed and likes to tackle a variety of tasks, since no two days will be the same. Your job will consist of troubleshooting problems, maintaining IT equipment, ensuring efficient and secure operation of technology resources. This position also provides room for growth so if there is a particular area you are interested in, training is available. This person will mainly work remotely, but will occasionally travel to one of our three offices in Odon, Bloomington, and Indianapolis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Tier 1/Tier 2 support to employees via in-person, phone, chat, remote desktop, or ticketing system
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to operating systems, applications, networks, and hardware
- Install, configure, and maintain laptops, printers, and mobile devices
- Assist with user account management (Active Directory, email, permissions)
- Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices
- Document troubleshooting steps, solutions, and procedures
- Train employees on new technologies, tools, and systems when required
Education:
- Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience and/or military service)
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in IT support, help desk, or related technical role
Skills:
- Knowledge of Windows/macOS operating systems, M365 GCC High environment, and common business applications
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices
- Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently or on a team

Required Qualifications to Apply:
- United States Citizenship
- Proven experience as an IT Support Specialist or related technical role
- Familiarity with cloud services and remote management tools
- Ability to obtain a DoD Secret level clearance or other government agency equivalent
- AS degree or relevant combination of experience and education
