Job Summary
We're looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Representative to join our accounting team. This role is ideal for someone with strong AP experience who is ready to step into a leadership position. You'll be responsible for daily AP operations and ensuring invoices are processed accurately and on time.
What You'll Do
- Process and review a high volume of vendor invoices
- Ensure accurate coding and timely payments
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve invoice/payment issues
- Assist with month-end close and reporting
- Maintain up-to-date vendor records
- Recommend process improvements to streamline workflows
What We're Looking For
- 3 years of Accounts Payable experience (transportation/logistics industry a plus)
- Strong Excel skills and familiarity with accounting systems (e.g., Great Plains, Oracle, SAP)
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
- High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
