Position Summary

This position performs a wide range of landscape maintenance duties and other related responsibilities as assigned.
What You'll Do
- Mow, trim, and edge lawns using power mowers and edgers.
- Plant, water, fertilize, and maintain lawns, trees, shrubs, and flower beds.
- Mulch, aerate, weed, rake, and remove thatch to keep landscapes healthy and attractive.
- Collect and remove litter to maintain clean grounds.
- Operate landscaping equipment, including mowers, tractors, twin-axle vehicles, snow blowers, chainsaws, electric clippers, sod cutters, and pruning saws.
- Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, hedge trimmers, pruning saws, brush trimmers, and axes.
- Assist with irrigation systems and adjust watering practices to promote healthy landscapes while conserving water.
- Remove snow from sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas, and apply salt when necessary.
- Perform other grounds maintenance and landscaping duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED.
- Some experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or a related field preferred.
- Valid New Mexico driver's license.
- Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screening and background investigation.
- Native American preference will be given in accordance with applicable policies.
- Knowledge of landscaping practices, including plants, grasses, and trees.
- Experience safely operating landscaping equipment and power tools.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to interact professionally with coworkers and the public.
- Dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
