Job Summary
Responsible for managing day-to-day finance operations, project financial monitoring, budgeting, reporting, fund management, audits, statutory compliances, and financial coordination with internal teams, donors, auditors, and external agencies. Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, transactions, reconciliations, and compliance across assigned projects.
Deliverables
- The position is responsible for the day-to-day financial operations at the Institute. S/he plans, organizes, directs, and is responsible for providing quality financial services to all projects.
- Responsible for the management of the finance function and monitoring the project grants teams work for the assigned projects.
- The position should have the strong accounting and finance knowledge, analytical skills, attention to details, ability to work effectively under time pressure.
- Responsible for financial monitoring with the available project budget and MIS.
- Monitor performance of activities under various projects/programs in financial terms and analyze them vis a vis budgets, forecasts, donor and organizational constraints and other internal and external changes.
- Develop and implement a system of information sharing to bring potential and real financial issues, risks and opportunities to the attention of the supervisor.
- Monitor and ensure that the financial transactions are recorded in line with financial system requirements in timely fashion, without transgressing access rights.
- Review existing projects budgets updated in ERP and make sure that the budgets are updated as per funder approval. Also, necessary amendments are made in ERP in case of any revision in the budget and approved by the funder during project duration.
- Monitor and support project grants team in preparation of quarterly finance report to be shared with the Funder
- Review budget forecasts for each project and update supervisor
- Review of project cash flow and conduct regular fund analysis and update Supervisor
- Monitor timely monthly closure of all books of accounts.
- Review of monthly financial reports and share with Supervisor for approval
- Preparation and monitoring of activity-based budgets, such as trainings, workshops, and meetings.
- Support program team in preparing budget for new proposal and submit to the supervisor for review before submitting with the program team
- Responsible to monitor towards submission of financial reports of grants to the funder on time
- Responsible to monitor towards submission of invoices of grants to the funder on time
- Liaison with project related employees, vendors, external agencies like statutory auditors, internal auditors, funding agencies for details, submissions and reconciliations.
- Regular review on receivables and update Supervisor on time
- Preparation of Monthly Consolidated & segmental P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement
- Timely production of statutory and internal financial reports and all legal compliances.
- Achieve timely audits i.e. internal, external, grants audit, tax etc., on need based basis.
- Timely Preparation, issuance, submission of various certificates and returns and payment of taxes under Income Tax, GST, Service Tax, FCRA.
- Cross function coordination with Other Departments.
- Ensure all legal compliances.
- Writing financial reports/updates.
- Any other work assigned by the supervisor.

- Required Master’s degree/any other degree equivalent to MBA.

- Around 12-15 Years work experience in Finance.
- Excellent Written and Verbal Communication skill (Hindi, English)
- Willingness to undertake Project Travel
- Excellent organizing abilities.
