The Social Media Specialist will ensure that the Warm Springs Casino Enterprise social platforms are a trusted source of brand authority, inbound traffic and campaign amplification for our assets within the casino affiliation and travel plaza space. Will design a wide variety of assets working in digital design, video editing, digital photography and videography for all WSCE’s social media and online platform projects.

Job Duties


The following include, but are not limited to essential functions of the position.

  • Responsible for digital marketing initiatives, including email marketing, social media management, website updates and data verification.
  • Plan and execute social media campaigns, including promotions, contests and influencer collaborations.
  • Collaborate with internal clients and external agencies to develop creative content that aligns with brand guidelines and campaign goals.
  • Assist in developing and monitoring email campaigns.
  • In collaboration with Marketing management, create engaging content for various social media platforms. Monitor, respond to, and interact with followers, cultivating leads, and managing online reputation.
  • Monitor and respond professionally to comments and inquiries across social media channels.
  • Maintain business listings across Business Profile resources; e.g., Trip Advisor, Yelp, Google Business, Bing, Apples, Maps, etc.
  • Track performance metrics, analyze engagement data and produce reports that measure the success of campaigns; collaborate with marketing management on strategy adjustment.
  • Ensure compliance with usage rights and copyright laws and/or obtain the necessary permissions for use.
  • Maintains an effective working relationship with Management, Tribal, and other local agencies and teams; works effectively as a team as well as independently, exercising judgment and initiative.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standard digital and design tools as well as advanced knowledge and best practices of emerging and current social media platforms
  • Attend promotions and marketing initiatives to support content capture and live coverage.
  • Ensures compliance with IGRA, Tribal-State Compact, Tribal Gaming Ordinance and Code, Tribal Gaming Regulations, FinCEN requirements and the Internal Controls of the Warm Springs Casino Enterprises (WSCE) And policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned.

  • Strategic Planning: Ability to build and execute social media strategies through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification that align with the organization's goals, ensuring brand growth and market positioning. Demonstrates expertise in identifying target audiences, setting clear objectives, and measuring the effectiveness of campaigns.
  • Digital Marketing Expertise: Proficient in digital marketing platforms, including social media, SEO, email marketing, content management systems and knowledge of web design and online marketing, to drive brand awareness and lead generation.
  • Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with design teams and collaborate with internal and external departments and contacts with a focus on fostering a positive team culture and ensuring seamless execution of projects.

Minimum Qualifications

  • AA Degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Three (3) years of experience in social media content creation or digital marketing.
  • Proficient in social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Linkedin, etc.)
  • Strong background in photo and video production, including editing, lighting and sound.
  • Experience and understanding of digital marketing best practices.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with keen attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in fast paced environment.
  • Working knowledge of gaming regulations including casino internal controls, tribal codes and ordinances, tribal-state compacts and minimum internal control standards.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software; skilled in Adobe Creative suite and other editing tools.
  • Must be highly motivated, goal-oriented and willing and able to make informed decisions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to be able to communicate effectively with staff, management, the public and business contacts.
  • Demonstrate commitment to professional development.
  • Must always present a professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Must have flexible schedule to be able to work outside standard workweek as business needs dictate.

Preferred Qualifications


  • Degree in journalism, communications, business, public relations, or marketing.
  • Certifications in social media marketing or digital marketing.

Certification(s) and/or Licenses Required


  • Must maintain a valid Oregon driver’s license.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must submit to and pass a drug/alcohol screening test.
  • Must submit to and pass an Oregon State background investigation.

Work Environment

Normal Office – Job requires regular exposure to favorable conditions such as those found in a normal office. Position is sedentary with primarily sitting/lifting of maximum of 10 pounds. Physical factors include constant sitting, use of near vision, typing; frequent use of hearing, near/midrange/far vision, depth perception, color/field of vision, bending, driving; occasional standing, walking, carrying/lifting, pushing/pulling, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, reaching, manual handling, use of smell. Working conditions include some exposure to noise, vibration, air quality; occasional exposure to weather, extreme heat/cold and wet/humidity.

  • Some lifting and carrying is required. Lifting items weighing as much as 60 pounds may be required, but this should occur seldom, i.e., less than 30% of the time.
  • This position requires reaching, manipulating and keyboard operation (typing).
  • This position requires sitting, stooping, standing, bending and walking.
  • This position requires intense and exacting mental and visual attention.
