Duties
- Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements, providing excellent guest relations from the moment they arrive
- Take food and beverage orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, and relay orders efficiently to kitchen staff
- Serve food and drinks promptly, ensuring presentation standards are met and guest needs are fulfilled
- Support food handling, sanitation, and food safety protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Clear tables, bus tables, and assist with general restaurant cleanliness to uphold sanitation standards
- Manage cash handling responsibilities including cashiering duties with accuracy and basic math skills
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen support as needed, especially during busy periods in fine dining or nightclub settings
- Use reservation systems like OpenTable to manage guest bookings smoothly
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred; experience in fine dining or nightclubs is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; knowledge of OpenTable is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with food preparation or kitchen support is beneficial but not required
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced setting
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude to collaborate effectively with colleagues
