As an Asset Auditor Level 2 at Independent Software, you will protect company assets by performing physical inventory and ensuring compliance with internal control procedures and regulations. You will verify asset and liability information by examining records, reports, operating practices, and documentation. This role requires careful attention to detail and the ability to reconcile inventory data accurately across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct physical inventory of technology devices across multiple buildings and data centers, ensuring complete visibility of assets.
- Use handheld scanners to collect and update asset data onsite.
- Return to the main office to synchronize captured inventory data for reconciliation and reporting.
- Manage site access logistics by submitting requests and obtaining necessary clearances for restricted areas.
- Utilize online tools to research site maps and points of contact to support inventory activities.
- Prepare periodic and special purpose reports as required.
- Ensure compliance with established internal control procedures by reviewing documentation, records, and operating practices.
- Work standard hours from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday through Friday, or as directed by management
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow internal control procedures and audit standards.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems, databases, or inventory management tools is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Capable of walking office floors and data centers to perform inventory tasks.
- Comfortable working in environments with restricted access and multiple locations.
- Nine (9) years of experience, which may include a combination of relevant work history and formal education.
- A master’s degree is equivalent to 6 years of experience.
- A bachelor’s degree is equivalent to 4 years of experience.
- An associate’s degree is equivalent to 2 years of experience.
- The degree must be from an accredited college or university.
- Experience with asset inventory and reconciliation procedures, ticketing systems, and databases is a plus.
- Must possess an active TS SCI with appropriate Polygraph to be considered for this role
