Job Summary
Independent Lifestyles LLC is seeking a dependable and compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work in our Community Engagement Program. The DSP will support individuals with developmental disabilities as they participate in meaningful community activities, build social skills, increase independence, and remain safe while engaging in their community.
This position is Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
Responsibilities
The DSP will:
Provide direct support to individuals during community engagement activities.
Assist individuals with participating in activities based on their interests, preferences, and ISP goals.
Promote independence, choice-making, communication, and social interaction.
Support individuals with safety, supervision, transportation, and community participation.
Assist with personal care needs as required.
Follow each individual’s support plan, behavior plan, and health and safety protocols.
Complete daily documentation accurately and on time.
Maintain professional communication with supervisors, coworkers, individuals, and families.
Report concerns, incidents, or changes in condition according to company policy.
Requirements
Must be at least 18 years old.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
Ability to pass a background check.
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred, but not required.
Must be dependable, patient, respectful, and able to work as part of a team.
Must be willing to complete required trainings, including CPR/First Aid, Human Rights, HIPAA, and other agency-required training.

Schedule

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
