What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Support Professional (DSP) position at INDEPENDENT GROUP HOME LIVING PROGRAM INC?

This position is eligible for rate differentials, with total hourly compensation starting at $20/hour and reaching up to $22.00/hour (depending on role & shift).

Schedules:
Part-Time: Sunday - Thursday 7am - 10am

Some Job Responsibilities:
- It is the responsibility of the DSP to ensure that all individuals at their site receive support that is consistent.
- It is the responsibility of the DSP to advocate for those they support.
- It is the responsibility of the DSP to participate in trainings that will help them better understand and support those they work with.
- It is the responsibility of the DSP to work as part of a team at their site(s) to ensure the best support for individuals and to achieve mutual goals.
Job Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Complete and maintain AMAP and SCIP certification, as per CDD policy.
- Able to stand and bend throughout the day.
- Able to sit for an extended period of time.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Valid NYS Driver’s License.
