About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and driven Tooling Engineer II to support the design and development of tooling and equipment that drives both corporate initiatives and customer product innovation. This role plays a key part in bridging engineering, operations, and production—ensuring efficient, high-quality tooling solutions.
You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product Engineering, Operations, and the Machine Shop to deliver cost-effective designs and support new product development. Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Operations and Engineering to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges
- Design tooling and create detailed drawings using AutoCAD and/or Inventor
- Develop and maintain engineering standards, processes, and documentation
- Support production through tooling commissioning, setup, and debugging
- Contribute to new product development and quoting by providing cost estimates and capability analysis
- Collaborate with Sales and Pre-Press on embossing capabilities and lead times
- Manage purchase orders and vendor relationships with external tooling suppliers
- Ensure compliance with company safety standards, including SQF and GMP requirements
- Perform additional duties as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (ABET-accredited preferred)
- 3–5 years of engineering experience (manufacturing environment preferred)
- Experience in tooling design and fabrication
- Familiarity with dies, progressive dies, threaders, flangers, seamers, welders, or similar equipment is a plus
- Proficiency in 3D modeling software (SolidWorks or Inventor preferred)
- Understanding of drafting standards, tolerances, and material finishes
- Strong communication skills with ability to collaborate across departments and with external partners
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving production environment
- CNC experience is a plus, but not required
- Strong willingness to learn and grow
