What We Are Looking For
A Client Trust Coordinator who will be responsible for supporting the management of the company’s financial accounts. This role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional with an interest in the entertainment industry to assist in day-to-day accounting and finance operations.
Duties
· Managing the general ledger in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles including entering data, preparing and posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, and preparing reports
· Processing payments to our artists and reviewing the weekly commission settlement statements prepared for our artists
· Tracking of deposits associated with our artists’ performance contracts
· Updating Wire templates, verifying banking information with clients
· Work with Agent teams on payments, statements, vendor forms, tax forms, early deposit releases
· Tracking of commissions within the Company’s contract system
· Assisting with the annual financial statement audit
· Assisting with tax and other mandatory filings
· Participating in process and systems improvements
· Performing other related duties and ad hoc projects as requested
Skills And Qualifications
· Strong organizational skills with an impeccable ability to multi-task, work with a high volume of transactions, and prioritize work to meet strict deadlines
· Be resourceful, proactive, reliable, trustworthy, and assertive
· Ability to maintain discretion and a high level of confidentiality
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Education And Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or similar field from an accredited college or university
· 2-4 years’ related work experience in an accounting role
· Experience in the entertainment industry is preferred but not required (e.g. talent agency, business management, promoter)
· Knowledge of Business Central is a major plus!
