What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior ID Card Specialist position at Independence Blue Cross Careers?
· Reviews ID cards and verifies accuracy.
· Confirm benefits on detailed benefit templates.
· Updates ID Card templates/formats as needed, based on business direction.
· Takes initiative to check questions or unusual situations with management in accordance with established guidelines.
· Ensures thorough and timely completion of request for ID cards.
· Contacts internal customers about discrepancies and documents for future reference.
· Investigates requests from internal customers for special handling, investigation of status of ID cards.
· Notifies the Manager of situations that will impact the release of cards.
· Handles ID card request received via system, i.e., INSINQ and SNOW from other departments (as backup)
· Assists others in responding to and resolving all inquiries in a courteous, professional, and timely manner.
· Maintains established quality and quantity production Standards.
· Acts as liaison with other business partners and alerts them to unusual situations and provides group specific Information as available.
· Demonstrates initiative in clarifying and exploring unusual requests.
· Takes lead on special projects and develops work plan
· Represent ID Card team in cross functional internal and vendor meetings.
· Review and resolve special handling requests.
· Identify, investigate, and prioritize ID cards, getting cards out timely and correct
· Collaborate with all relevant program and IBC company areas to understand and support IBC Customer requirements (e.g., Sales & Marketing, Underwriting, Service Operations, Enrollment, etc).
· Elevate issues and risks in a timely fashion to achieve resolution and mitigation.
· Provide routine status reports.
· Performs other duties as assigned
· High School degree or equivalent
· 5 years of relevant experience
· Demonstrates ability to deal effectively with others and have a willingness to be a team player.
· Able to multitask, adapt to changing environment, willingness to change priorities, ability to adhere to procedures and guidelines, review card ID detail, demonstrate professionalism.
· Demonstrated experience in a fast-paced, deadline driven team
· Working knowledge of how benefits are constructed
