Personal Care Assistant (PCA) / Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Caregiver
Independence at Home Homecare is seeking compassionate, dependable, and caring Personal Care Assistants (PCAs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and caregivers to provide non-medical, in-home care services throughout the River Valley area.
The PCA/CNA/Caregiver will assist clients with activities of daily living while promoting independence, dignity, safety, and comfort in the client's home.
This is a non-skilled, in-home caregiving position. Employees provide services according to the client's care plan, agency policies, and applicable Arkansas regulations. This position does not include independent nursing services or duties outside the employee's authorized scope of practice.

RESPONSIBILITIES
PCA/CNA/Caregiver responsibilities may include:
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
- Assist with mobility, transfers, ambulation, and positioning
- Provide medication reminders only; medication administration is not part of this position unless specifically authorized and permitted by applicable regulations and agency policy
- Prepare light meals and assist with feeding as needed
- Perform light housekeeping related to the client's care, including laundry, dishes, cleaning, bed making, and maintaining a safe environment
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Assist with errands and transportation (limited)
- Encourage client independence and participation in daily activities whenever possible
- Follow the client's established care plan and agency policies
- Observe and report changes in the client's condition, behavior, safety, or needs to the appropriate supervisor
- Maintain client privacy, dignity, confidentiality, and respect at all times
- Provide dependable and consistent care according to the assigned schedule
- Communicate professionally with clients, families, supervisors, and members of the care team
- Complete required documentation and reporting according to agency policy
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- PCA and/or CNA experience is preferred but not required for all positions
- Compassionate, patient, respectful, and dependable
- Ability to work independently in a client's home
- Ability to follow care plans, instructions, agency policies, and applicable regulations
- Reliable transportation to and from client homes required
- Valid driver's license required
- Must be able to pass required Arkansas state and federal background checks
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, or assist with up to 50 pounds as needed
- Must be able to safely assist with mobility and transfers when required by the client's care needs
- Strong communication and observation skills
- Ability to maintain professionalism and client confidentiality
- Ability to work reliably and arrive on time for scheduled shifts
- Flexibility to work with different clients, schedules, and care needs as assigned
TRAINING & COMPLIANCE
- All required agency training must be completed before providing care
- Employees must follow all applicable agency policies, procedures, training requirements, and client care plans
- Annual training is required
