Process Development Chemist - Transformer Oil Testing
Location: On-site Indianapolis, Indiana, United States
What you will do:
- Validate new analytical methods for insulating oil performance.
- Coordinate proficiency testing across multiple fluid diagnostic laboratories.
- Manage chemical inventories and MSDS for oil testing reagents.
- Assess and maintain specialized laboratory equipment for oil analysis.
- Draft technical work instructions for standardized oil testing procedures.
- Analyze research data using custom Excel models for oil aging.
- Perform routine testing to determine dielectric and chemical properties.
- Evaluate new apparatus to expand in-house oil diagnostic capabilities.
What you need:
- Transformer oil testing experience.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Manages time and deadlines effectively.
- Strong physical and electronic organizational skills.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel required.
- Chemistry degree and laboratory research experience preferred.
