What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inspector position at Incom Inc?
We are currently recruiting for an Inspector
Our Inspectors perform quality control inspection on various fiber optic products to ensure parts meet all required specifications and company quality standards
Responsibilities include:
- Use automated and manual optical measuring instruments to make close visual measurements of various part features
- Visually inspect parts to detect any defects, chips, cracks and/or other blemishes in the parts
- Take a variety of physical dimensional measurements using various precision measuring devices
- Use proper handling and packaging processes to ensure products remain in specification.
- Set up and operate automated inspection equipment
- Perform required documentation, recordkeeping and data entry
- work closely with engineering to evaluate quality of parts from engineering tests
- Follow all established safety rules and regulations and utilize required safety equipment.
- Read and interpret routing sheets and blueprints to determine required operations and other product specifications
- other similar duties as directed.
Required Qualifications
Our ideal candidate will be goal oriented, focused and patient, positively handling and addressing challenges and possess the following experience and talents:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one year related inspection experience
- Solid track record of stable work history
- English language competency (speaking, comprehension, reading and writing) commensurate with the duties visual acuity to prints/plans and product details as well as machine details,
- physical ability to lift various weights up to 25 lbs
- Must be able to pass pre-employment background checks and drug test.
- Reliable transportation required to work set schedule.
Work Environment:
Manufacturing setting – requires standing, lifting, and working with machinery
Mandatory use of safety equipment
What We Offer
- 1st Shift Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:30am - 3:00pm
- Pay Range: $20.00 – $21.36/hour, based on experience
- Hiring Note: New hires for this position are initially placed with CoWorx Staffing Agency for a minimum period of 3 months prior to hire by Incom.
