What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lab Specialist position at Inclusive Leadership Lab?
The Lab Specialist owns the development and delivery of The Leadership Apprenticeship, by The Lab, our Registered Apprenticeship pathway to a national certification. This person builds curriculum, facilitates cohorts, and supports apprentices with job-embedded coaching from enrollment through completion.
- Develop and refine apprenticeship curriculum aligned to the competencies embedded in the national certification pathway.
- Facilitate cohort sessions, coaching cycles, and job-embedded learning experiences for apprentices.
- Track apprentice progress against Registered Apprenticeship requirements and maintain accurate completion records.
- Partner on scope and sequence for each cohort, incorporating feedback from prior cohorts.
- Coordinate mentor and preceptor relationships for apprentices completing fieldwork.
- Lead onboarding for incoming apprentices.
- Monitor outcomes across our four measurement domains: baseline knowledge, engagement, application, and impact.
- Maintain the compliance documentation required to sustain Registered Apprenticeship status.
- Experience in special education leadership, teacher preparation, or adult learning design.
- Familiarity with competency-based professional learning models.
- Strong facilitation skills with adult learners, including experience leading cohort-based programs.
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in special education, educational leadership, or a related field preferred.
- Prior experience as a special education director, coach, or administrator preferred.
