Audio Visual Service Technician

Our client, a premier audio-visual company out of Wisconsin, is looking to hire a full-time Service Technician with experience in analog and digital audio, as well as video technology. This individual will be responsible for overall communication and completion of service on customer systems and equipment, at customer sites and the company’s offices.

Duties Include

• Work with staff to ensure a competitive and accurate quote is developed for the customer for service work.
• Assist staff and clients in identifying any problems or needs prior to start of service work.
• Respond to customers' service-related issues promptly and work directly with customers to establish service timeline and completion date.
• Coordinate ship dates of all service-related equipment with purchasing to expedite equipment or parts as necessary.
• Coordinate with other Service Technicians and Service Manager.
• Work with administration to ensure accurate and timely billing to customer for service and parts provided.
• Manage multiple service projects.
• Assist with preventive maintenance of customer equipment.
• Accurately track time sheets, service/installation tickets and inventory items.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
• Other duties as required or assigned by company management.
  
  

Qualifications Include

• Completion of a two-year electronics degree from an accredited college or university, or a minimum of 5 years working experience in the electronics field is required.
• Minimum of an InfoComm CTS certification and base level programming and product training/certification by equipment manufacturers such as Crestron, AMX, Extron, QSC, BIAMP, BSS, JBL, Shure, Allen & Heath, Yamaha, Digico, Atlas, Da-lite, Crown, Samsung, LG, Sony, Middle Atlantic, Premier, Polycom, and Lifesize among others.
• Experience and familiarity with electronic test equipment commonly used in electronic equipment test and repair.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work well with our clients and other employees.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate clearly and in a non-technical manner with the client, staff, and vendors.
• Must be responsible, self-motivated, self-starter, personable and well-organized.
• Superior customer service skills.
• Proficiency in the use of personal computers including such programs as MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Valid and current driver’s license.
• Some overnight, out of town travel may be required.
