Position: Senior Accountant
Compensation: $75,000 - $85,000 annually, depending on experience
Location: Overland Park, Kansas

The role involves complex accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and contributing to month-end close processes. Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Monitor bank accounts and assist with transaction coding
- Process EFT payments for carrier payments
- Reconcile monthly premiums and claims activity
- Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations
- Assist with MGU activities and accounting data tracking
- Contribute to month-end closing tasks and journal entries
- Mentor and onboard newer team members
- Work closely with the controller on accounting tasks
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting related field
- Minimum 3 years of accounting experience
- Experience in audit preparation
- GAAP accounting knowledge
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- Experience in insurance-related accounting
- Workday experience
- Knowledge of Self-Funded Health Plans
- Experience with Reinsurance and Stop-Loss accounting
