Position: Plant Accountant
Compensation: $160,000 - $190,000 annually, depending on experience
Location: Longview, Texas

This opportunity is perfect for a finance leader with a passion for manufacturing. You'll be embedded on-site as the go-to finance expert, driving strategic insights to elevate plant performance. The company is experiencing major growth, offering a dynamic environment where your expertise will directly impact operational success. This role is open due to the company's expansion and the new CFO's vision to transform the finance department. Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Partner with Plant Director for financial insights
- Lead plant forecasting and budgeting
- Deliver timely variance analysis
- Develop plant KPI dashboards
- Strengthen plant costing mechanics
- Support inventory performance and working-capital drivers
- Provide finance support for capex planning
- Lead cost reduction programs
- Ensure finance processes are SOX-compliant
- Develop a small plant finance team
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field
- 8 years in manufacturing finance or related roles
- Experience in plant costing and cost reduction initiatives
- Ability to lead a small team and operate individually
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- SAP proficiency (FI/CO and manufacturing modules)
- MBA, CPA, CMA certification
- Experience with KPI dashboards and digital reporting tools
- Strong collaboration and influencing skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
