We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong banking domain expertise and data/system migration experience to support large-scale transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring seamless migration of data, systems, and processes.
Job Title: Business Analyst Banking & Data Migration
Location: Pittsburgh, PA Hybrid
Duration: Fulltime with Incedo
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements (BRD, FRD) for banking systems
- Perform current state vs. future state analysis for migration initiatives
- Work closely with stakeholders (business, IT, operations) to define migration scope and strategy
- Analyze legacy systems, data structures, and define data mapping & transformation rules
- Support end-to-end data migration lifecycle including planning, execution, validation, and reconciliation
- Identify data gaps, inconsistencies, and ensure data quality during migration
- Collaborate with development teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Prepare test cases, support UAT, and ensure successful migration sign-offs
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings, workshops, and status reporting
- Ensure compliance with banking regulations and internal controls
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in Banking/Financial Services
- Strong experience in data migration / system migration projects
- Solid understanding of core banking systems, lending, payments, or deposits
- Hands-on experience in data mapping, data analysis, and reconciliation
- Experience with tools like SQL, Excel, JIRA, Visio
- Strong knowledge of SDLC methodologies (Agile/Waterfall)
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with core banking platforms (e.g., FLEXCUBE, Loan IQ, etc.)
- Prior experience working with US banking clients
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks in banking
- Exposure to ETL tools or data warehousing concepts
