Summary
The Facilities Director & Security Officer is responsible for the strategic and operational oversight of the bank’s facilities and physical security functions. The role manages a portfolio of 20 owned or leased buildings with a total value exceeding $50 million. A significant component of the position centers on strong vendor management, ensuring that all contracted providers deliver consistent, high-quality services in maintenance, construction, environmental systems, and security technologies. As the Security Officer, this individual oversees the bank’s physical security program, including administration of security systems (cameras, access control, alarms), managing incident response, and providing training to employees.

Salary Range: $120,000 to $150,000 annually.
The estimated hiring range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.

Key Responsibilities – Facilities Management
- Provide leadership and direction for the bank’s owned and leased facilities portfolio.
- Manage relationships with all third-party service providers, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, janitorial, landscaping, construction, and property maintenance vendors.
- Ensure vendor performance meets service levels, cost expectations, and compliance standards.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance programs and ensure timely and effective completion of work.
- Oversee capital improvement projects, branch refreshes, tenant improvements, and new construction or relocation projects.
- Maintain documentation related to leases, inspections, warranties, maintenance contracts, and compliance requirements.
- Prepare and manage operating and capital budgets for facilities.
- Serve as the primary liaison with contractors, inspectors, utilities, and municipal agencies.
- Serve as the Bank Security Officer with responsibility for administration of the physical security program.
- Oversee installation, performance, and maintenance of physical security equipment, including video systems, cameras, access control, alarm systems, vaults, and safes.
- Conduct periodic security assessments of bank locations.
- Manage relationships with security equipment vendors and monitoring service providers.
- Work with law enforcement and emergency responders as needed.
- Oversee incident reporting, investigation, documentation, and remediation efforts.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for physical security and safety.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- Excellent vendor management and negotiation skills.
- Ability to coordinate and oversee maintenance, repair, and construction activities.
- Familiarity with building systems helpful but not required.
- Proficiency with physical security technologies.
- Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills.
- Ability to respond to emergencies and handle sensitive security information with discretion.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required; equivalent experience considered.
- Strong vendor management experience is essential.
- Previous security or law enforcement experience required (banking, military, corrections, police, or related fields).
- Experience with physical security systems or regulated environments preferred.
- Develop and deliver physical security and safety training programs, including robbery response, security awareness, access card use, and incident reporting procedures.
- Coordinate annual required training for staff across departments.
- Integrate facilities and physical security planning with enterprise risk management, business continuity, and emergency response programs.
- Supervise facilities and security staff with responsibility for performance management, scheduling, and development.
- Coordinate the work of facilities and security support personnel and contractors.
- Establish clear performance metrics for vendors and evaluate contract deliverables.
- Maintain documentation of security and facility programs, risk assessments, and compliance reviews.
- Provide regular reporting to executive leadership and risk committees.
- Participate in planning related to facilities growth, branch expansion, and operational resilience.
