Job Summary:
Seeking a hands-on Plant Manager to oversee all aspects of a custom manufacturing operation, including production, engineering, quality, supply chain, and financial performance. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in fabrication and job shop environments, with the ability to lead from the shop floor while driving operational excellence, profitability, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage daily plant operations across production, engineering, quality, and accounting functions.
- Drive productivity, efficiency, cost reduction, and on-time delivery initiatives.
- Oversee low-volume, high-complexity manufacturing and fabrication processes.
- Interpret complex weldment drawings and support manufacturing execution.
- Develop, mentor, and lead cross-functional teams to achieve operational goals.
- Manage budgets, resources, safety programs, and quality standards.
- Partner with ownership and leadership to support business growth and profitability.
- Implement process improvements and optimize operational performance.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- 10 years of manufacturing leadership experience in job shop, fabrication, specialty vehicle, heavy equipment, or custom manufacturing environments.
- Strong knowledge of welding, fabrication, assembly, and production operations.
- Ability to read and interpret complex fabrication and weldment drawings.
- Experience managing multi-department manufacturing operations and leading large teams.
- Strong financial acumen, budgeting, and cost-control experience.
- Proficiency with ERP systems, operational metrics, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Salary : $180,000 - $200,000
