Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with MIG welding, metal fabrication, blueprint reading, and precision fitting. This role involves producing custom welded assemblies while maintaining quality, dimensional accuracy, and a clean finished appearance.

Responsibilities:

• Perform MIG welding on various metal components and custom assemblies.
• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, fabrication drawings, and work instructions.
• Set up welding equipment and select appropriate welding parameters based on material and job requirements.
• Cut, fit, position, and tack components prior to final welding.
• Use measuring and inspection tools to verify dimensions, alignment, and fit-up.
• Grind, clean, and finish welds to meet structural and cosmetic requirements.
• Identify weld defects and make necessary corrections to maintain quality standards.
• Complete first-piece and final inspections according to established specifications.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area while following all shop safety procedures.
