Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Drywall Estimator to join our team in East Providence, RI. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in drywall estimating, excellent attention to detail, and hands-on experience using Quick Bid.
This is an on-site position where you will work closely with the Lead Estimator and follow an established estimating process. We are looking for someone dependable, efficient, coachable, and comfortable taking direction while consistently producing accurate estimates.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for drywall projects.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and review construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
- Utilize Quick Bid for estimating and takeoff activities.
- Analyze labor, material, subcontractor, and project costs.
- Coordinate closely with the Lead Estimator throughout the estimating process.
- Meet bid deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Review estimates for completeness and identify potential scope gaps or discrepancies.
- Maintain organized estimating documentation and project files.
- Follow established company estimating procedures and workflows.
- Communicate effectively with internal team members regarding project scope and pricing.
Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in drywall estimating or a closely related commercial construction estimating role.
- Strong working knowledge of drywall construction, materials, labor, and installation methods.
- Quick Bid experience required.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under deadlines.
- Reliable and consistent with a strong work ethic.
- Comfortable working fully on-site in an office environment.
- Ability to take direction and work effectively within an established team structure.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Salary : $105,000 - $125,000
