Job Title Associate Technical Designer
Position Summary
We are seeking an Associate Technical Designer to support the Technical Design team in the development and production of swimwear, intimates, and related apparel categories. This role will assist with garment fittings, technical documentation, sample evaluation, and workflow management to help ensure product fit, quality, and consistency throughout the development process.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, organize, and accurately measure all incoming garments for fittings.
Attend fit sessions, taking detailed notes and photographs to document fit comments and revisions.
Update technical packages (Tech Packs) with fit images, measurements, and comments following fittings.
Assist Senior Technical Designers with ongoing technical design and development tasks.
Maintain Work-in-Progress (WIP) charts and provide timely production status updates.
Support the team in tracking fit approvals, sample submissions, and development timelines.
Ensure all technical information is accurately documented and communicated.
Qualifications
1–3 years of experience in Technical Design or a related apparel development role.
Experience measuring garments accurately, preferably within swimwear, intimates, or similar categories.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and time-management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Technical Design, Patternmaking, Apparel Design, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in lingerie, swimwear, and/or children's apparel.
Experience working with PLM systems.
Knowledge of patternmaking and garment development software, such as Optitex, Gerber AccuMark, or CLO 3D.
Understanding of garment construction, fit evaluation, and patternmaking principles.
