Duties
- Safely operate the ice cream truck along designated routes, adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations
- Manage daily route schedules efficiently, ensuring timely arrivals at each stop
- Engage with customers in a friendly, enthusiastic manner to promote products and upsell items
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including pricing and change management
- Maintain the cleanliness and merchandising of the truck’s interior and exterior displays
- Perform heavy lifting when restocking supplies or loading inventory into the truck
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding route updates, customer feedback, and sales goals
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Strong knowledge of driving safety practices and route navigation skills
- Basic math skills for handling pricing, transactions, and inventory counts
- Excellent customer service and communication skills to create positive interactions
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks related to restocking supplies
- Organizational skills for managing schedules, inventory, and merchandising displays
- Prior experience in sales or upselling techniques is a plus
- Military experience involving logistics or driving is beneficial but not required
