We have an excellent opportunity for a full-timeexperienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead the direct upkeep and reliability of critical production equipment and plant facilities at our Lathrop Meat Facility. The role focuses on the Provisur Novamax 660 patty forming system while extending to supporting systems including hot water compressed air generation, crate wash tunnels, conveyor networks, CHAD cabinet, and VAT dumpers. The supervisor will direct a small team of technicians, enforce food-safety compliance and drive preventive/predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Leadership
- Oversee daily PM, troubleshooting, and repair of Provisur Novamax 660 patty formers (hydraulics, PLC controls, forming plates, knockout systems).
- Maintain hot water heaters, low- and high-pressure pumps, and distribution loops for sanitation and process needs.
- Manage crate wash systems (chemical dosing, high-pressure nozzles, drying zones).
- Ensure conveyor belts, rollers, motors, and alignment meet USDA sanitary standards.
- Service VAT dumpers, hydraulic lifts, and tipping mechanisms.
Team Supervision
- Lead, train, and schedule 4–6 maintenance technicians across shifts.
- Conduct performance reviews, safety training, and skill-gap development.
- Coordinate with production supervisors for scheduled downtime windows.
Reliability Compliance
- Develop and execute preventive/predictive maintenance plans (CMMS ).
- Maintain spare parts inventory for all systems.
- Enforce LOTO, confined-space, hot-work, and arc-flash protocols.
- Document repairs and root-cause analysis in compliance with USDA regulations.
Facilities Support
- Oversee general plant utilities (compressed air, HVAC, lighting, drains).
- Respond to emergency breakdowns.
Work Schedule Benefits
- Full-time position, Hourly (exempt)
- Pay Range: is $115k to 125k- annually, plus bonus

- Hours: 5:30am to 2:30pm (willing to be flexible), Some overtime as needed
- 5 days per week, rotating schedule and alternating days off; Weekend and holiday availability required

Qualifications
- 5 years of industrial maintenance experience in food or beverage manufacturing; required (protein processing preferred).
- 5 years in a supervisory or lead technician role; required.
- Proven direct expertise with Provisur Novamax-series patty formers (or equivalent high-speed forming technology such as Formax, Koppens, or Marel); required.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills (480V 3-phase, VFDs, PLC I/O checks – Allen-Bradley or Siemens): required.
- Proficiency in mechanical systems: bearings, chains, pneumatics, hydraulics, sanitary welding (stainless steel TIG); required.
- Familiarity with CMMS and spare-parts management; required.
- Ability to read PIDs, electrical schematics, and OEM manuals; Required
- Ammonia refrigeration experience (operator level or familiarity with PSM/RMP programs) – not required but a plus.
- Certification in predictive technologies (vibration, ultrasound, thermography); preferred.
- Associate’s degree in industrial maintenance, Mechatronics, or related field OR equivalent military/technical training experience.
- Bachelor’s degree a plus but not required.
Physical Environmental Demands
- Work in cold (34–38 °F forming rooms) and wet environments.
- Lift up to 60 lbs.; climb ladders; work at heights; enter confined spaces.
- Wear PPE (hard hat, hearing protection, cut-resistant gloves).
