- Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table turnover while maintaining guest comfort
- Answer phone inquiries with professionalism, providing accurate information about wait times and menu options
- Assist guests with seating preferences, special requests, and accessibility needs to enhance their dining experience
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and waiting area to ensure a tidy environment
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to facilitate smooth service flow and guest satisfaction
Requirements
- Previous host/hostess experience or food service background preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a positive attitude are essential
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests, team members, and management
- Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Excellent phone etiquette and guest relations skills to handle inquiries professionally
