The Senior Payroll & Benefits Analyst leads payroll and benefits operations with a focus on compliance, analytics, and process improvement. This role ensures accurate and timely payroll processing, manages complex benefits programs, and provides advanced reporting and insights to support strategic HR decisions. Responsibilities include system integration, compliance audits, ACA and 401(k) reporting, and vendor management.

Key Responsibilities:
- Process full-cycle payroll processing and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Manage benefits administration including health, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement plans
- Lead ACA reporting, COBRA administration, and ERISA compliance
- Perform reconciliations for payroll, benefits, and 401(k) contributions
- Develop and deliver payroll and benefits analytics, dashboards, and variance reports
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency
- Support HRIS and timekeeping system integrations and troubleshoot data feeds
- Coordinate annual open enrollment and vendor file transmissions
- Prepare and review payroll tax filings and year-end reporting (W-2, 1095-C)
- Provide guidance on compliance audits and assist with internal/external audits
What We Are Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- 5 years of payroll and benefits experience with increasing responsibility
- Proficiency with payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paychex, UKG) and HRIS platforms
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis)
- Experience with HRIS/T&A integrations and EDI file management
- Strong knowledge of FLSA, ACA, ERISA, COBRA, and HIPAA regulations
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
- High ethical standards, reliability, and commitment
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or similar certification preferred
