Grinding Operator – 2nd Shift

Location: Gainesville, GA
Shift: 2:55 PM – 11:05 PM (Monday–Friday)
Reports To: Manufacturing Manager

About the Role

This role is critical to our production operations. As a Grinding Operator, you will operate machinery, ensure product quality, and support daily production goals. This is a hands-on position where attention to detail, consistency, and accountability matter.

You won’t just run machines—you’ll play a key role in maintaining quality standards, supporting team performance, and keeping operations running efficiently. 

Key Responsibilities

• Operate grinding machines and related production equipment
• Load and unload materials and components
• Adjust machine settings and perform basic troubleshooting
• Conduct quality inspections using measurement tools
• Perform machine changeovers as needed
• Complete production reporting accurately
• Label and transport finished goods
• Ensure compliance with company environmental and quality management systems, including ISO 14001 and IATF 16949 standards.
• Maintain 5S standards and a clean, organized workspace
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
• Escalate issues to leadership as needed
• Work collaboratively to meet daily production targets 

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of manufacturing experience preferred 
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
• Ability to read and follow work instructions
• Strong attention to detail and organization
• Basic math skills and understanding of the metric system
• Experience with measurement tools (calipers, gauges, etc.)
• Basic computer skills
• Strong attendance and reliability
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs.
• Push/pull up to 25 lbs. with equipment
• Frequent standing, walking, and reaching
• Occasional bending and kneeling
