Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. Duties
- Operate CNC machines, including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and CNC programming tools, ensuring precise machining according to specifications.
- Operate manual and automatic saws to cut material to drawing specification
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and CAD models to ensure accurate manufacturing processes.
- Utilize hand tools and precision measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers to verify dimensions and quality standards.
- Handle materials safely using forklifts and other materials handling equipment; assist with inventory management and packaging tasks.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery, troubleshoot issues promptly, and coordinate with maintenance teams for repairs.
- Follow safety protocols diligently, maintain a clean workspace, and document production activities accurately in logs and reports.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating manufacturing machinery such as CNC mills, lathes, and saws preferred.
- Ability to lift and maneuver heavy materials.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files effectively.
- Familiarity with Fadal or Hurco CNC controls preferred.
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments confidently. (ie. tape measurer, calipers, micrometers, and other quality control tools)
- Valid forklift certification or experience operating forklifts safely in a warehouse or factory environment preferred.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to machining tolerances, and production specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality control standards; previous warehouse or factory experience is advantageous.
