We're currently seeking a part-time Medication Technician to join our team at the Albemarle District Jail in Elizabeth City, NC.
What You'll Do
As a Medication Technician, you'll work alongside licensed healthcare providers and correctional staff to help deliver safe, effective, and compassionate patient care. Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with preventative health assessments, screenings, and immunizations
- Supporting chronic care management, sick call, and urgent care services
- Obtaining and documenting vital signs, patient histories, and clinical observations
- Maintaining accurate medical records and documentation
- Assisting providers with examinations and treatments
- Supporting medication administration and clinical procedures as permitted by state regulations
- Communicating effectively with healthcare providers and correctional staff
- Helping maintain a safe, organized, and professional clinical environment
As IMS continues to grow, there may also be opportunities to mentor and support new clinical team members.
Who You Are
You're a compassionate, dependable Medication Technician who thrives in a team environment and communicates with professionalism and respect. You're adaptable, organized, and committed to providing quality care to every patient.
Requirements:
- Active North Carolina Medication Technician certification
- Current CPR certification
- Previous correctional healthcare experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to commute to Elizabeth City, NC

- Schedule: Part-time, 20 hours per week, no weekends
