Position Summary

The Press Support role assists the Press Operator in setting up, operating, and maintaining flexographic printing presses to produce high-quality labels that meet customer specifications and quality standards.

Shift: Second, noon to 8:00 p.m., Monday to Friday Shift Differential Pay

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist Press Operators with press setup and production runs
• Verify job specifications and read customer job jackets
• Stage all required materials and equipment on setup carts
• Perform press make-ready, including loading and unloading print cylinders, materials, lamination, dies, and ink
• Assist with the setup of auxiliary press equipment
• Gather label stock from inventory
• Remove finished rolls as needed
• Empty trash and rag containers as required
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• One year of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Previous experience in a printing or manufacturing environment preferred
• Familiarity with hand tools preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Must pass criminal background and drug screening

Physical Requirements

This position works in a manufacturing environment and requires the use of personal protective equipment. The employee must frequently stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and communicate verbally. The role requires frequent lifting and/or moving of up to 50 pounds. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
