Role Description
The Print Production Specialist plays a key role in supporting daily operations across Act Now Print & Promote’s print, apparel, and signage departments. This hands-on position involves preparing and producing a wide variety of custom products — from wide-format prints and heat-pressed apparel to embroidered and engraved items.
The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and enjoys working in a creative, fast-paced environment. You’ll help keep production running smoothly by managing materials, operating equipment, maintaining quality standards, and assisting with order fulfillment and shipping.
This role is perfect for someone with some experience in print or production work who’s eager to learn and grow with a collaborative, expanding team.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily production tasks across print, signage, and apparel projects.
- Operate and maintain wide-format printers, heat presses, embroidery machines, and other production equipment.
- Support engraving and laser-cutting setup and finishing.
- Prepare artwork, materials, and blanks for printing and pressing.
- Manage shipping and receiving — packing orders, labeling boxes, and coordinating deliveries.
- Help track jobs and deadlines; communicate progress to the team.
- Enter orders, invoices, and purchase orders in QuickBooks (training provided).
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace and assist with general office management and supply inventory.
Qualifications
- Some experience in print, sign, or apparel production preferred — but not required.
- Familiarity with heat pressing, wide-format printing, embroidery, or engraving is a plus.
- Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, Trello, or similar).
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask efficiently.
- Positive attitude, reliability, and a willingness to learn new skills.
- Ability to lift boxes and materials (typically up to 40 lbs).
