The National Sales Manager will lead nationwide sales development, expand distribution channels, manage key accounts, build long-term dealer/contractor relationships, and drive revenue growth. This role requires deep industry knowledge, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Execution
- Develop and execute national sales strategies to expand market presence and revenue.
- Identify, target, and acquire new distributors, builders, contractors, and large project clients.
- Manage and grow existing accounts through regular communication, business reviews, and relationship-building.
Industry Expertise
- Leverage industry knowledge to position products competitively based on quality, pricing, and manufacturing capabilities.
- Stay updated on cabinetry trends, materials, market pricing, and competitor activities.
Business Development
- Utilize existing network and industry resources to bring in new business opportunities.
- Attend trade shows, industry events, and customer visits to expand market reach.
- Collaborate with marketing teams on project proposals, quotes, and presentations.
Channel & Project Management
- Oversee national distributor relationships and develop new dealer networks.
- Support large project bids including multi-family, commercial, and builder-grade cabinetry packages.
- Coordinate with warehouse, logistics, and operations teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment.
Team & Reporting
- Provide sales forecasts, competitive insights, and market analysis to headquarter.
- Work closely with internal departments including supply chain, finance, and customer service to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Potential to build and lead a sales team as business continues to grow.
Qualifications
- 5–10 years of sales experience in the cabinetry, building materials, home improvement, or related industry.
- Existing customer resources (distributors, contractors, developers, showroom owners, or project accounts).
- Proven track record of hitting sales targets and growing national or regional territories.
- Strong understanding of cabinets manufacturing, materials, pricing structures, and project timelines.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to travel across the U.S.
Preferred
- Experience working with overseas manufacturing teams.
- Bilingual (English Mandarin) is a strong plus but not required.
- Experience in ERP systems such as NetSuite is highly desirable.
