Job Summary

As we enter a phase of accelerated hiring and expansion, we're seeking a Director of Learning & Development (L&D) to build and scale our training and onboarding programs from the ground up.

This is a foundational, individual contributor role that will grow into a leadership position as the company scales. The ideal candidate has built learning frameworks in fast-growing, high-performance organizations and knows how to translate business goals into training programs that drive immediate impact.

In the first 6–12 months, this leader will focus on designing and implementing a best-in-class onboarding and commercial training program to ensure our new hires ramp quickly, perform effectively, and embody our mission and culture. Over time, the role will expand to include leadership development, ongoing functional training, and company-wide learning infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Learning Strategy & Execution

  • Build and execute a scalable learning and development roadmap aligned with rapid headcount growth, starting with onboarding and commercial enablement.
  • Design a structured and repeatable onboarding experience that allows large cohorts of new hires to quickly integrate and perform.
  • Develop and deliver sales training programs focused on product knowledge, consultative selling, compliance, and customer engagement in the healthtech space.
  • Partner with executive leaders to align training content with evolving product, process, and market needs.
  • Create standardized training metrics to measure ramp time, retention, and program effectiveness; iterate based on performance outcomes.

Scaling the Learning Function

  • Implement tools and infrastructure to support scalable learning delivery (e.g., LMS, onboarding automation, certification paths).
  • Build content libraries and microlearning modules that can be easily deployed across functions and geographies.
  • Introduce train-the-trainer programs to enable managers and functional experts to deliver consistent, high-quality learning experiences.
  • Prepare the organization for sustained growth by establishing processes that make onboarding efficient, measurable, and culture-driven.

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Collaborate with People Operations, Recruiting, and Department Heads to ensure learning initiatives support hiring volume, productivity, and retention goals.
  • Partner with Product and Legal teams to ensure that all training aligns with regulatory requirements and clinical accuracy.
  • Advise senior leadership on organizational capability building and workforce readiness during scaling phases.

Leadership & Growth

  • Start as an individual contributor; progressively build and lead a small, high-performing L&D team as the company expands.
  • Serve as a thought partner to the executive team on talent development, performance enablement, and culture embedding.
  • Champion a learning culture that supports growth, accountability, and innovation.

Qualifications

  • 4 - 6 years of experience in Learning & Development, Sales Enablement, or Talent Development, including experience in high-growth or startup environments.
  • Proven track record of designing and scaling onboarding programs for rapidly expanding organizations (100 hires in short time frames).
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, and digital learning delivery.
  • Experience creating or implementing LMS platforms and scalable training systems
  • Demonstrated success partnering with commercial, operations, and clinical teams in a healthtech, SaaS, or healthcare services setting.
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strategic, data-driven mindset paired with a willingness to execute directly and iterate quickly.
