Leading at Impetus:

We are looking for a seasoned Client Partner – Healthcare Payer to own and grow a large, strategic healthcare payer account based in the Minneapolis region.

This role is ideal for someone who takes true ownership of enterprise client relationships—acting as the executive sponsor, ensuring continuity across existing engagements, and expanding the account through value‑led, long‑term transformation programs.


You will balance:

A farmer mindset, nurturing a critical payer relationship with care and consistency

A growth mindset, uncovering white‑space opportunities across data, cloud, analytics, and AI

This is a high‑visibility leadership role where you are not just managing an account—you are shaping payer transformation and driving measurable growth.


Skills Required:

Strategic Account Management

  • Own and grow a portfolio of strategic healthcare payer accounts, including a large confidential enterprise payer client
  • Develop and execute a strategic account plan to drive approximately 20% YoY revenue growth
  • Manage large, complex portfolios in the $15M–$25M range, ensuring revenue and margin objectives are met
  • Serve as the primary executive sponsor and escalation point for the client


Client Relationship & Executive Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with CXO‑level business and technology stakeholders
  • Lead quarterly and executive governance reviews with client and Impetus leadership
  • Position Impetus as a long‑term strategic partner rather than a services vendor


Solution Development & Delivery Oversight

Lead and expand multi‑year transformation programs across:

  • Claims and member experience modernization
  • Healthcare data and analytics platforms
  • Cloud migration and platform modernization
  • AI‑driven insights (risk management, cost optimization, member engagement)
  • Regulatory and compliance‑driven initiatives (HIPAA, CMS, etc.)
  • Partner closely with delivery, solution, and engineering teams to ensure high‑quality execution and measurable outcomes


Business Development & Growth

  • Drive white‑space identification and account expansion through consultative, value‑based selling
  • Leverage partner ecosystems including AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks, Snowflake, and healthcare technology platforms
  • Maintain strong discipline around forecasting, pipeline management, and executive reporting


Advocacy & Collaboration

  • Represent the client’s interests internally and ensure alignment across sales, delivery, and leadership teams
  • Foster collaboration across global, matrixed teams
  • Actively contribute to healthcare payer best practices and repeatable account growth models


Key Requirements

  • 12 years of experience in Client Partner, Account Director, Engagement Director, or Strategic Sales roles
  • Proven experience owning and growing large healthcare payer clients (regional or national insurers strongly preferred)
  • Strong understanding of healthcare payer domains, including:
  • Claims, enrollment, and billing
  • Provider and member data ecosystems
  • Regulatory and compliance environments (HIPAA, CMS, etc.)
  • Demonstrated success managing and expanding $15M–$25M enterprise portfolios
  • Experience selling IT services, data engineering, analytics, cloud, and AI‑led solutions
  • Executive‑level presence with strong relationship‑building and negotiation skills
  • Comfortable operating in global, matrixed delivery environments


Pay Range: This offers a very competitive base salary and in addition, we offer a bonus which is dependent on achievement of targets by the role-holder as well as the organization.
