THE POSITION:
The company is seeking a Project Superintendent. This individual will play a pivotal role in delivering $100M Commercial an Institutional projects, overseeing large field teams of 50 professionals, and helping to shape the future of the fastest-growing business unit within the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide overall field leadership from preconstruction through project closeout for large commercial/institutional builds.
- Lead crucial aspects of jobsite execution, including safety, quality, cost control, schedule adherence, and trade partner coordination.
- Partner with project executives and project managers to ensure alignment between field operations and business objectives.
- Drive day-to-day jobsite management, including materials, equipment, subcontractors, logistics, and manpower.
- Identify and resolve field issues proactively, ensuring adherence to aggressive schedules and high standards of quality.
- Champion and enforce company and OSHA safety protocols, cultivating a culture of safety across all jobsite personnel.
- Provide constructability input during design development and preconstruction planning to enhance efficiency and buildability.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and key project stakeholders.
- Mentor, coach, and develop assistant superintendents and more junior field staff to build a high-performing, sustainable field operations team.
- Ensure execution of QA/QC protocols and that all deliverables meet or exceed client expectations.
- Support buyout and scope reviews, and lead project startup activities including kickoff meetings and mobilization plans.
- Oversee site logistics, phasing plans, and resource forecasting for multi-building or campus-scale projects.
- Collaborate with safety, scheduling, and VDC teams to optimize delivery and execution.
- Represent the company as a field leader in external meetings with clients, consultants, and trade partners.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 2 years of field leadership experience on commercial, education and/or healthcare projects.
- 10 years of progressive experience in commercial construction field operations, managing large, complex projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent hands-on experience accepted.
- Proven track record of leading field teams of superintendents, subcontractors, and trades on fast-paced, high-value projects.
- Experience participating in client-facing meetings, pursuit strategies, and preconstruction efforts.
- Contributor to constructability reviews, logistics strategies, and project sequencing.
- Effective communicator with the ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships.
- High proficiency with construction scheduling tools (e.g., P6, short-term lookaheads) and field management systems.
- Strong grasp of site safety management, QA/QC standards, and large-campus coordination.

Salary : $140,000 - $200,000
