RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the full lifecycle of MEP systems on mission critical/data center projects from preconstruction through commissioning and closeout.
- Collaborate with design consultants, MEP subcontractors, and internal engineering teams to ensure MEP design integrity, constructability, and coordination.
- Participate in preconstruction efforts, including budgeting, estimating, systems selection, value engineering, and subcontractor buyout.
- Coordinate and oversee shop drawing reviews, BIM coordination, long-lead item tracking, and submittal processes.
- Develop and maintain MEP-related project schedules, identifying and mitigating delays related to MEP scope.
- Support commissioning processes, ensuring compliance with project specifications and owner expectations for performance and reliability.
- Monitor and control MEP budgets, cost forecasting, change orders, and procurement.
- Interface directly with owners, consultants, vendors, and trades to address MEP-specific issues and opportunities.
- Work closely with field operations and superintendents to ensure safe and high-quality MEP installation.
- Ensure compliance with project-specific QA/QC programs, safety standards, and code requirements.
- Assist in resolving technical challenges and driving innovative, efficient solutions in the field.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 5 years of MEP project management experience on large-scale commercial or mission critical projects.
- Proven success delivering complex MEP scopes on data centers, hospitals, life sciences, or advanced tech facilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Construction Engineering, or Construction Management preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- Deep understanding of MEP systems design, construction sequencing, and integration within high-performance buildings.
- Proficiency with construction management and coordination tools (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Navisworks, BIM 360, P6).
- Experience collaborating on BIM/VDC coordination, commissioning, and startup procedures.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and trade partners simultaneously.
- Experience with data center MOP/SOP development and execution is a plus.
- Familiarity with fast-paced project delivery methods (design-build, IPD, CMAR) in high-stakes environments.
