Imperial is seeking a self-directed and detail-oriented Technical Designer to support our Product Development team. While the primary focus will be on headwear, there is opportunity to collaborate on apparel development as well. This role will help create concepts, manage tech packs, and work closely with both internal teams and external manufacturing/licensing partners to bring products to life. This position reports directly to the Product Development Manager.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Build and maintain tech packs for headwear and apparel in partnership with Product Design and Account Managers
- Support seasonal development calendars in collaboration with the Sourcing Team
- Assist in research of seasonal trends, themes, colors, materials, styling, and trims
- Prepare development packages using PLM software and manage communication with Sourcing Specialists
- Work with Production to ensure design integrity is maintained through manufacturing
- Develop and manage trim packages for both headwear and apparel
- Execute development projects as assigned by Account Managers
- Take notes and follow up on outstanding items from bi-weekly Product Development meetings
- Degree in Apparel Design or Graphic Design preferred
- 0 - 3 Years of Experience
- Strong creative ability and attention to detail
- Entry-level understanding of headwear/apparel construction, trims, and technical specifications
- Familiarity with fabric treatments, dye techniques, lab dips, and color standards
- Excellent sense of color and awareness of fashion/trend cycles
- Self-starter with a team-focused mindset
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow through on tasks
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Word, and Excel; PLM experience a plus
