About the Role:

The Utility/Custodial position within the Transportation and Warehousing industry plays a critical role in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient operational environment. Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.


• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.


• Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques and use of custodial equipment.


• Familiarity with safety procedures related to cleaning chemicals and equipment.


• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in custodial or utility roles within transportation, warehousing, or similar industries.


• Certification in occupational safety or hazardous materials handling.


• Basic mechanical skills for minor equipment maintenance.


• Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts (with proper certification).


• Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and supervisors.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal across all facility areas.


• Maintain restrooms, break rooms, and common areas to ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are met.


• Assist with the setup and breakdown of equipment or materials as needed to support warehouse and transportation operations.


• Conduct minor maintenance and repair tasks, reporting any significant issues to the maintenance supervisor.


• Ensure compliance with safety regulations by properly handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.


• Support waste management processes, including sorting and disposing of recyclable and non-recyclable materials.


• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to identify areas for improvement in facility upkeep.
