What are the responsibilities and job description for the AUTO position at Imperial Trading?
SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Responsible for counting, reviewing for Quality Control (QC’ing), and placing items from a pallet into the bin of an automated storage and retrieval system while using assigned hardware (keyboard and touchscreen monitor) to confirm quantities for accurate inventory.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Additional duties, which are necessary to carry out the functions of the Auto-Store Decant, may be assigned and are incorporated by reference into this job description.
- Responsible for accurate inventory by utilizing scanning hardware to scan Pallet Labels (P-Labels) to identify product (items) and quantities prior to loading sellable quantities into the designated automated storage bin;
- Responsible for accurate data entry to ensure a consistent inventory count;
- Responsible for reporting damaged product and/or shortages to the Inventory Control Clerk assigned to the Auto-Store or their Supervisor;
- Once assigned decanting duties are complete, this position reports to Receiving to assist with breaking down inbound shipments of products;
- Reports to work on time, as directed by the Warehouse Supervisor for the Second Shift, and completes duties in a timely manner;
- Performs above listed duties in a cooperative, capable manner, processing the information as needed effectively;
- Responsible for the cleanliness of work area at the end of assigned shift;
- Responsible for placing empty boxes into the box bailer and crushing;
- All personnel within this job description shall be subject to cross-training into jobs within the organization based on Company needs.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands of this job include light physical activity performing light strenuous activities of an administrative, productive and/or technical nature that must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands to touch, handle or feel, and to reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently walk and occasionally talk or hear, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must regularly lift 10 and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job in a warehouse environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee must regularly work near moving mechanical parts and in outdoor weather conditions. The employee may occasionally work in wet humid conditions. Certain selectors must work in the refrigerator and the freezer. The selectors working in the freezer are provided with suits, gloves and face or head gear. The noise level of the work environment is usually moderate.
