The Director of Purchasing & Inventory Management is responsible for defining and executing purchasing strategy while overseeing inbound inventory flow across a multi-site distribution network. This role combines both strategic leadership and hands-on operational execution, ensuring optimal inventory performance, supplier management, and alignment with company objectives. The Director will lead and develop purchasing teams while driving continuous improvement in key performance indicators, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Full-Time Salary: Up to 175,000.00

You Will
- Lead a high-performing regional purchasing organization by organizing, training, coaching, and evaluating team members
- Drive performance against KPIs, including inventory turns, fill rate, margin, slow-moving and dead-stock, order flow, and transfer efficiency.
- Support customer bids and the successful implementation of awarded business
- Drive initiatives related to new business opportunities, programs, and product categories, ensuring proper planning and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Finance, and Strategic Sourcing teams.
- Act as the primary escalation point for regional purchasing-related issues
- 7–10 years of experience in purchasing, inventory management, or supply chain, with at least 4 years as a people leader
- Experience in distribution, preferably in foodservice packaging, janitorial, or related products, is a plus
- Advanced Excel skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- The ability to work on-site at our City of Industry, CA office with light quarterly travel as needed.
