Our client has engaged us to assist them in hiring a contract Mechanical Technician. Hourly pay range: $25–$27

Shift: 3rd shift, Sun–Wed 9PM–7:30AM (onboarding: 1st shift Mon–Fri 6AM–2:30PM for ~1 month)

Duration: 52 weeks (long-term opportunity, possible extension)

Job Title: Mechanical Technician

Job Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair test cell facility systems (drive systems, fuel systems, dynamometers, pumps, heaters, heat exchangers, transducers, wiring, etc.)
• Install, calibrate, and troubleshoot exhaust gas emission measurement equipment
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance
• Attend team meetings, execute shift plans, and collaborate with team leads
• Conduct calibration tests, scheduled maintenance, and equipment verification

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma required; Associate’s Degree or higher preferred (electrical-related field)
• 3 years of hands-on electrical and/or mechanical experience
• Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical drawings
• Comfortable working on 480VAC and 1000VDC systems, including risk reduction techniques
• Welding and fabrication skills
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in emissions labs or with emissions testing equipment
• Calibration and metrology experience
• Familiarity with measurement science and data acquisition
