Direct Support Professional (Youth Services and Community & Family Services)

JOB SUMMARY:
Youth Services: Works directly with individuals, in groups between one and six, to provide supports needed for individuals to participate in activities and progress on individual goals. Services are varied and may occur in a variety of settings.
Community & Family Services: Works directly with an individual to provide specific services to meet that individual's individualized needs. Programming is varied and may occur in a variety of settings.
ESSENTIAL FUNTIONS:
- Engage and support individuals in meaningful activities while promoting independence and skill development based on ISP goals
- Provide direct support with daily living needs, including personal care, meals, transportation, community participation, and household tasks
- Implement individual plans safely in home, community, and program settings, advocating for individuals with disabilities
- Maintain accurate daily documentation and service notes in the electronic record within 24 hours
- Communicate professionally and positively with individuals, families/guardians, coworkers, and stakeholders
- Represent Impact Support Services positively in the community and maintain appropriate, respectful conduct
- Maintain reliable attendance, arrive on time, and keep management informed of relevant individual or program updates
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- 18 years of age
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- Valid driver's license (ability to obtain class E license within 14 days of hire)
- Proof of vehicle insurance
- Successful completion of background checks and reference verification
- Work flexible schedules, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand or sit for several hours and bend, stoop
Salary : $18 - $20
