Join an expanding global manufacturing leader in their Engineered Fiber business! Requires solid background in Tech Service/ Customer support/ Application Development of yarn, polymers, textiles, and/ or fiber products. Strategic support to Sales/ Account Managers with established and targeted customers in North America to incorporate products into their applications and manufacturing processes.
Qualifications:
--BS/ MS Science or Engineering (chemistry, material science, polymer chemistry, chemical engineering, biomaterials) with 8 years experience in Technical Service/ Customer support/ Application Development of Manufactured Engineered Fibers, Yarns, Polymers, or Textile products.
-- Must have background in textile technology and product quality standards
-- Broad knowledge of materials (polymers and fibers) and high performance fibers like aramid, glass, carbon, or others preferred.
-- Proven ability to maintain effective customer relations at project/ program level. Customer leader, who thoroughly understands customer’s needs, establishes privileged relationships and actively influences their innovation and purchasing decisions.-- Broad experience in R&D, Application Development, Process Development, and/or Technical Service roles with demonstrated direct customer engagement.
-- Travel ~30-40%
Responsibilities:
-- Technical interface between the product and the customer to qualify product for the customers. Supports the Business Development & Account Managers in handling & managing the transfer.
-- Coordinate with R&D, the development of new application or product launch testing plans, leading product trials, analyzing data, and communicating results.
-- Organizes all actions and planning surrounding the transfer of the product with respect to technical and quality, documentation related topics.
-- Provide project management for new application developments, including product launch testing plans, data analysis, communication of results, technical product specification creation, and cross-functional work stream coordination.
-- Provide technical service support to established and targeted customers, including resolving customer technical issues and complaints in addition to helping customers incorporate products into their manufacturing processes and product developments.
-- Support existing customers by troubleshooting issues and participating in the resolution of customer complaints.
